I visited Dr. Scevalo last week with my long standing acidity and gastric problem. He speaks English and was kind, attentive and empathetic. He quickly scheduled the gastroscopy which was quick n painless. Also did the intolerance test. I am currently undergoing medications prescribed by him and hope to get cured soon. His assistant was also very kind and efficient. Would surely recommend him.

After 30 years suffering gastro disorders I found the best doctor! Besides his medical skills, Dr Scevola is also kind and gentle what is important when visiting a medical gabinet. The personnel are just perfect and the appointments are esealy booked. I made an endoscopie that went very well and my problems are now dully treated. Perfect!

I do not recommend at all Dr. Scevola for a few reasons:

1) The entire clinic has two persons, I presume to save money; the doctor and his assistant. The assistant takes calls/appointments, prepares bills and also assists with the procedures (nurse duties). Because of this, during my endoscopy preparation, she was taking calls on her mobile. This is also an unsanitary practice for a medical procedure!

2) I had three appointments, two of them were unnecessary. During the consultation time, during all the visits, the doctor was taking calls for other patients. This lead to him not paying attention to my prognosis as a patient.

3) The endoscopy procedure appeared to have been done very quickly and without attention.

I visited another gastroenterologist in Geneva eventually because I did not want to go back to Dr. Scevola again. My current doctor said that they would not consider Dr. Scevola's procedures and diagnoses reliable exactly for the reasons I mentioned above.

During my last visit, I told Dr. Scevola about my disappointment and he replied that he would like to improve his services. That's a good thing to say but I doubt his honesty. I advise people to see someone else and avoid this clinic. I think the positive reviews are from some long term patients or the doctor's magic! You can contemplate why Dr. Scevola has readily available appointments and for his colleagues there is at least a few weeks of waiting time! This is not about the doctor's ability or knowledge but rather about his attitude and how he chooses to conduct his business.

My intention for this review is not to harm anybody's business but to help potential patients, based on my honest experience. I know Dr. Scevola will read this review and may have something to reply; after all this is a free society.

I'm sorry if my review is offensive. Perhaps the doctor has some points but I stand by my opinion, and I am concluding nothing here. There is one 5-star review under the doctor's name for some reason. The severe reduction of staff due to the Covid situation is not believable to me because I have been to other medical facilities that were properly staffed during the shut down. Justifying that taking calls during consultation as a part of normalcy is unacceptable to me, unless it is an absolute emergency which was clearly not the case; this is the first time I am hearing that this is ok. Also, the nurse cannot take calls on the cell phone while wearing gloves and preparing for an endoscopy; there is a risk of secondary contamination from the dirty cellphone. I I waited several months before posting a negative review because only recently my experience was corroborated by another physician whom I am seeing currently. Overall, I do not trust this clinic. It is up to the future patients what they want to do. May be they will have a very good experience, I do not know. It is just that I did not.

After talking with my family doctor, visiting a Gastroenterologist in Zurich, calling my insurance tele-medicine and meeting another Gastroenterologist in Italy without success, I have decided to visit Dott Scevola in Geneva. He was listening, asked questions and checked the exams that I did in Zurich and solved my problems. I value his expertise and life-long experience, therefore from my side a simple: Kudos to Dott Scevola, thank you.

I met Dr Scevola, after 9 months of RCU, to have a second opinion, before to move to new treatments. He immediately suggest to change my diet and to try for the last time with cortisone. Normally after 10 days after the end of the treatment, RCU was always starting over.
Now it is since 3 months that following is suggestion my disease is under control (without cortisone).
I strongly recommend him.

Do not recommend at all! Without knowing what's really going on in your body and what type of medicine it can tolerate, he put you under all types of diagnosis for nothing. Very expensive consultation fee and unprofessional reception team. Do not go!
