We had an incredible time during our stay here. The staff was very friendly and the room was incredible! Exactly as pictured- we stayed on the 3rd floor with the beautiful woodwork from the pictures. The views out every window were all different and equally incredible! The beds were very comfortable, the room was perfectly clean and the hotel was just a quick walk down to the lake. If you want to be pampered and see the best of Switzerland, I highly recommend this place. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

I came here a Wednesday evening directly from work to have dinner with my daughter. I had forgotten you better dress up to be respected in this rather posh eatery, so nobody really cared about us. The menu is well balanced between meat/poultry and fish whereas the couple of vegetarian dishes are truly uninspiring. We started with a single spinach ravioli at 26 CHF a piece and continued with an exquisite, low temperature oven-cooked filet of féra (whitefish), presumably from the lake and served with half cooked potato cylinders and deliciously poached endives. Service was slow, despite an abundance of staff, some of whom were however cooking at the open fire place and its vertical grill. Overall, a mixed experience.

A lovely small hotel with great character. The historical features including exposed wooden beams are nice and the location is quiet. Short walk to the shore, cafe or restaurants. Loved it!

We stayed here over Easter 2022 with our dog. The hotel is perfectly situated close to the vineyards and the lake. The suite was clean, spacious and with a nice decor. Bed and chairs were comfortable.

The hotel does also include a fine-dining restaurant which serves local specialities. We had the filets de perche one evening and on the other evening the wiener schnitzel and spare ribs from the rotisserie paired with lovely wine from the region. The cuisine is outstanding. The food is delicious and the chef even comes by in the evening greeting all the guests. Unfortunately, the staff does not live up to the experience. The staff is not attentive (i.e. we had to order water twice until it arrived) and they are not passionate about the food or willing to make recommendations. We kinda felt sorry for the chef who does an amazing job but then the people in the front do not cheerish the food.

The lack of attentiveness also showed during the breakfast buffet. You pay an extra 20.- per day per person- but the size is quite small. There is one bread option, croissants, graved salmon, ham and cheese, fruits, you can make a hardboiled egg, coffee, juices, müesli and yoghurts. Sometimes, there were no plates and no cups and we had to wait for staff and ask for it. Some days some items were missing (yoghurts, bread). It was quite disappointing for the price we paid. Apparently, you can order omelets to the table but no one ever told us. We were just told that we can order tea from the staff.

The lack of attentiveness and friendliness also shows in reception. Upon arrival we were barely greeted by the receptionist. She seemed more annoyed when we asked where the parking is for hotel guests. She mentioned designated area in the side streets which we could not find and after asking the day after, we found out that there was a tent on the spots from a festival taking place last weekend so they were not available and we had to park the car somewhere else and pay. In addition, when we left we were just told to pay an amount outstanding. Only when I asked for the bill, we actually got a receipt to check. I would expect staff to present the bill first, have the guests check it and then we can make the payment.

We have stayed and eaten here many many many times and it was better in the past. The staff unfortunately does not live up to the beauty of the hotel and the outstanding restaurant.

We’ve stayed in this hotel twice now and it’s just great. The vibe of the restaurant in the rooms is so nice and rustic. Make sure to book a table for the restaurant upstairs, it’s really nice. The breakfast at the lakefront is also very pleasant. On Sundays there is a market that you can visit as well. I would definitely come back here, the value for money is good.

Beautiful, cozy patio. Meal was superb. Out waiter was very nice but he could have used more help! Would definitely go back. We went with Swiss friends who also introduced us to the owner of the hotel who was very accommodating. Love!

We came here for dinner, and had an amazing experience.
The restaurant is very warm and cozy, with extremely friendly and polite staff. The interior is traditional and stilish, and pleasantly quiet.
The menu includes many seasonal and local products, focusing on fish from the lake and meat from the mountains (deer, boar, pigeon etc...). Everything was very nice, with traditional dishes reinvented with some new twist. The truffle soup was delicious, and the roe deer was wonderful, very tender and tasty. We also liked a lot the welcome appetizers.
The wine choice is quite broad and focused on the local production (lavaux vineyards).
Prices (we paid ~70 per person) are definitely fair for the area and for the high quality of service and food. We had a great time, and we hope to come back! Very recommended.

We stayed here many times over the years. The Hotel, the Restaurant have some great value to offer. Its cosy, most things are excellent or a real recommendation.
The rooms are rather spacious, each one has it's own atmosphere and look.
The restaurant we enjoyed dinners for two, a larger group, with family events and were always more than satisfied. The wine selection, from the region and the wider choice is to be recommended.
The breakfast room is a bit small, but in an old charming building like this, things like that are expected.
