Best meal we've had in Switzerland. Went on a Thursday evening for dinner. Very authentic restaurant setting with a Swiss mountain house style. Seeing the owner Georges Magnin smile and present us with his cheesy specialties was a real treat. We could tell he was truly passionate about his cooking, his restaurant, and pursuit in delighting customers.

The food itself was very generous and balanced. We got the tasting menu and the Malakoff (fried cheese balls). The Soup du Chalet starter was a very creamy but light and delicious. This is one of the few places in Geneva that seem to serve authentic Alpine Mac and Cheese. The portion size was very generous and creamy and delicious! The Malakoff was also very delicious especially when paired with the salad and ham. The dessert was perfectly done so it was sweet but light and refreshing. Overall with all the cheese, we didn't find that it was too salty and definitely left us feeling delighted. It's a must go if you're in Geneva and want a sampling of authentic Swiss cuisine.

I highly recommend this restaurant, the decor is absolutely beautiful and original, the staff is polite and smiling and full of good intentions towards you! , the quality of the meals are really perfect! they have an absolutely delicious half-and-half fondue, even if the desserts remain classic, they are nonetheless very good. the only small downside and in the possibility of parking easily with your car, there are not many parking spaces nearby.

I would definitely put 6 stars if possible. One of my favourite restaurants in Geneva and a prime destination for a traditional swiss meal. Have visited it (and its twin brother in town) many times and everything is perfect. All fondues (traditional, vacherin, goat) are delicious and served with bread, potatoes and grapes, the charcuterie and cheese plate is generous, all desserts are mouthwatering (try their iced coffee: ice cream, espresso and double cream), and they offer a wide selection of swiss wines, both by the bottle and glass. Also a rare place where to drink the traditional absynthe with the tap! And the service is always excellent, kind, helpful, joyful and connaisseur. It just reminds you what a good restaurant should be like...

Excellent fondue, great service.
Location is not the best, but it's close to the Tram 12 stop, and parking is not too far across the park.

Took a guest from another country for a dinner here on a recommendation from a friend.
Followed waitress’ recommendation of goat cheese fondue for starters. It was fine, came with sliced bread and boiled potatoes.
My guest asked for a meat fondue and waitress replied “This we cannot serve you, you need to order a day in advance.” Was not told so on the phone when I made the reservation.
OK, we ask for recommendations for the main dish, she suggests “ motie-motie”, the half and half fondue, which comes again….. with same potatoes and more bread. We order a bottle of wine.
The taste was not bad, but not out of this world. I am not prepared to pay 140 francs for boiled potatoes, sliced bread and some molten cheese. If you keep your costs low by having just two staff serving the guests, and you serve unsophisticated no frills food, then at least I would expect you to compensate with customer service.

Never again. I would prefer to patronize a place where staff cares about customers’ wishes.

The food was fantastic, as was the service. When the manager (?) found out we spoke German, she waited our table because she wanted to speak German with us. We ordered things to split as a table and kept adding on items until we were full. For fondue, we had both the traditional half-half and the goat cheese fondue. Both were great, but I think everyone at the table preferred the goat cheese fondue. We also started with a plate of local charcuterie, which was good. And the desserts . . . wow. Fantastic. We had a slice of pear/apple pie with Gruyere double cream and a double cream ice cream with meringues and burnt wine sauce. The meringues had this delicious toasty flavor. The double cream was incredibly decadent. The burnt wine sauce added a great counterpoint.

A lovely cosy restaurant that is do I g its best to keep business going during these strange times. Temperature is taken at the entrance and plexiglass screens are put between tables. The fondue moitié moitié is absolutely delicious!!! Creamy, tasty, cheesy????. Served with bread AND potatoes, it is one of the best I have ever tasted. The raclette is really good too but the cheese was a bit to rich for me and I couldn't eat more than 3. I have also tasted the chocolate fondant which is to die for. It is served with gruyere cream and a meringue. Delicious! In the photo is the dried meat platter served with bread AND butter! Yum
