This is a really good Italian restaurant in Carouge, Switzerland. I went there a couple times for dinner. You can dine inside or outside. Dinner starts at 6:30pm and they are open for lunch also. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the prices are reasonable. The quality of the food was excellent and portion sizes are generous. I would definitely recommend this place if you love Italian food!

About as Italian as garlic bread, domino's or Clint Eastwood. Seriously, anyone who's posted that the pasta is authentic or the pizza is great is honestly pretty clueless when it comes to such foods - I mean just the fact the "Carbonara" is made with cream and grana padano cheese should say it all to anyone who knows anything about Italian food.

Seriously, the food is average at best, it's not that it's "bad" per se, perfectly edible yes, but it's not a cheap local quick eat, which is what it's food and decor suggests. I don't mind food which is merely "fine" if that's what I'm paying for. If the food cost 40-50% less I wouldn't actually have any issue at all, but they are charging premium prices for very average, not actually Italian food. Likewise don't advertise spicy pepperoni sausage - even have pictures of such thing on your menu (Inferno pizza) and then give bog standard large mildly paprika flavoured salami slices instead. I won't be returning by choice.

This is a typical Italian restaurant with good quality Italian food served in very large portions.
The staff speak good English and as an Australian traveler I had no trouble making myself understood. This of course was greatly assisted by the fact that they have both French and it's English menus.
As the wines were unfamiliar to me I found the waiters recommendation more than satisfactory.

Here's the deal with Restaurant Boccalino - it's got REALLY GOOD PIZZA!!! It is the only pizza I've had in Geneva but I have got to believe it is one of the best in the city. Nicely sized, well topped, and cooked with a bit of a wood oven flavor profile... seriously it's just fantastic. Delicious fresh ingredients and a crispy thin crust that holds up well. Also MUCH LARGER than I expected.

The patio is large and beautiful. It's in a great part of the city. Excellent WINE as you'd expect.

It’s good to have a dish that has plenty of seafood :)
We were at the terrace, but it was extremely warm.
There were few waitresses attending lots of tables.
Plates and glasses seemed too old (used many times).
Pizza looked really good!

Excellent pizza (we had the Fradiavola and it was excellent (and I've had some not so good pizza in the neighborhood)
Good, friendly, fast service (we had to get a bus but were able to fit in some nice ice cream before we left!)
It was quiet when we went as they'd just opened but felt like a friendly, large space, accomodating of kids.

On the whole, a decent pizza with prices that are reasonable considering that it's Geneva. Slightly disappointing that waiter didn't speak Italian, but he was very friendly and provided excellent service (I think his name was Frederic).

It is an exquisite Italian restaurant. Its speciality is focaccia. Very good pizzas with a wide variety of ingredients, something for everyone. In general, very good pasta. And the service is great, if you go several days in a row they treat you like a friend, they know your tastes and make culinary recommendations.
