Loved the location, views and food of this restaurant which is located on Aare river in Bern, overlooking the river, old town, and water rapids. We had the salmon tartare, vegi burger, corn fed chicken and some refreshments/drinks. The food was surprisingly good, because you typically expect these kind of places to be big on views but not so much on food, but it was delicious. The service was great. They had ample free parking at the back of the restaurant and the views were just amazing! Highly recommended for special occasions or in general if looking for fascinating views.

In such a great location, terrible staff. On the terrace in the part where the gateway is, self-service. That is, you order at the bar and carry it to your table. But, if something is left on the table, the waiters are obliged to remove it. Twice, very kindly, politely asked that everything that was left of previous customers be removed from the table. The first time they said we'd come. The second time they said when the time is right, we will come. He explained that alcohol is on the table and my friends are Muslims, this is not acceptable for them. And where is the Swiss tolerance? The third time I had to explain that if you don’t take it away, I’ll take everything and throw it on the floor. The staff of this restaurant needs to undergo hospitality service training.

We visited this restaurant assuming a high standard, unfortunately we were wrong. After 10 minutes of sitting down, when the service was done as if we weren't there, the waitress even went around us 3 times. There was a sufficient amount of staff, but from yesterday's experience I would say that they are not professional enough. We therefore do not recommend a visit!

Excellent restaurant, the location is just next to the river, actually the water flows below the restaurant and you can see it through a glass floor. Fondue was excellent. Stuff is helpful and polite. Definitely will dine here again!

Great view and tasty food, the salmon lunch menu was delicious. But service is not up to par. We waited 40 minutes for the lunch menu and were brought the wrong thing, the waiter didn't even apologize. It was difficult to get his attention to pay the bill.

The restaurant is situatet on a platform reaching over the river aare. So it is a very nice place to be with a nice view on the old town. But the brunch buffet is rather plain and there isnt much choice available. The foods arent of a very high quality.

We just visited the Einstein and Swiss Alpine museums & were starving. We found this place on Google Map with good review and it has a beautiful view. The host and our server spoke English and they had English menu. Like most Swiss restaurants, it is pricey. We enjoyed the view, the ambiance, and our lunch.

Setting ambiance is quite nice, especially in the summer if you can get a table outside. Service was good. Food was average and not good value.
