The sweets:
- 13CHF for 300grm is expensive but worth the quality!
- sweetness is very pleasant!
- flavours are versatile and you can taste rose water, pistachio, cashew etc.each ingredients they used
- i will definatly buy over and over again the sweets at Levant
Basil drink:
- very refreshing and full of basil seeds in each sip and at the same time not too sweet. Very nice to drink on a warm sunny day.
- 2CHF is acceptable
Börek:
- the börek dough is very delicious, chewy and thin as a papersheet
- the pastry was filled poorly. It could have had more filling but the filling itself was tasty.
- 5CHF is ok price for the size of börek
Note reagrding the sweets: In Levant Supermarket, I have bought for the first time some turkish sweets, that are really flavourful, crispy outsite and juicy inside. Levant uses high quality ingredients, that you can taste in every bite. ( I have tasted turkish/syrian sweet from several other stores and all of them have been overly soaked in cheap sugar syrup and sweetness would be so overpowering that you cannot taste the flavours of the sweet item. That is not at all the case in Levant.)
The owner is a very friendly man. His teenage son helps out at the store. The son is very competent and explained well details about the sweets amd also about other items.
I did not have enough coins to pay the basil drink. The owner said, "take it and bring the cash another time".

Aus Nüssen, Butter, Honig und Zucker zaubern die Inhaber exquisite Gebäcke.
Die Inhaber kommen aus der Syrischen Stadt Aleppo, der unumstrittenen Hauptstsdt der nahöstlichen Gastronomie.
Fragen Sie auch nach den Gebäcken mit Frischkäse im Syrischen Stil. Eine Delikatesse ????
Ich werde noch oft hierher kommen.
