The rooms were nice, ambiance nice, unfortunately a six pack beer to go costs 30.-, we found the same one for around 10.- in a shop nearby. The hostel is not a restaurant and the beer was to go. We found that rang of price pretty upsetting. Hope they change their policy

This is part of the Swiss Youth Hostel group, I stayed at another in Geneva but I liked this one more. Service here was warmer than what I have experienced in Geneva. Expect to put the bedsheets on yourself (probably common amongst the Swiss Youth Hostels group - was a surprise for me when I stayed at the Geneva one). Bathrooms here were so much better than the one in Geneva, there's even music! Breakfast here was pretty good and location was pretty central. Well-behaved guests when I stayed. Overall a great value and wouldn't mind staying again ????

This is one of the best hostels I’ve visited. The rooms are fairly clean and there is even an included buffet breakfast!
My only complaint would be the very very thin mattress; however, if this doesn’t bother you, then great!
Toilets are not in rooms (at least for myself), these are in a common area, but due to this, they are much cleaner with great water pressure!

I would definitely come back and recommend!

Good clean hostel. The breakfast was underwhelming. Other hostels in Interlaken and Germany provide a better breakfast. The rooms were a little stuffy. It's hard to get a breeze through there and there are no fans provided. The staff were nice.

I really enjoyed my stay, the hostel is very clean, warm and cosy. The only (big!) downside is the lack of vegan options at breakfast. I let the hostel know a week in advance that I was vegan but the food was very limited - it's not fair that I pay the same price but get lower quality breakfast. Next time it would be amazing to see vegan cheese, vegan sausages, houmous and vegan yoghurt for breakfast - you will make many people happy, not just vegans :)

This does not have a hostel vibe at all. The rooms are small, with no real space apart from the bunk beds. I was put in a damp room when I visited in December which gave me a sinus infection and I lost a few travel days as a result. The staff did change my room after I complained though. The breakfast is not exceptional but has everything you need for the morning and the location is good. There is a strange policy of returning your duvet at checkout. I could not help but notice that rooms were generally assigned based on whether one was white or not; my first room had Chinese, Colombian, and Iraqi visitors, and my second room had a Taiwanese traveler as another occupant.
I am writing this review after having visited a few hostels in Europe, including ones in Florence, and Rome. The urban legend of 'you get what you pay for' is generally implied in the sense that things are usually more expensive in Switzerland, and generally of a much higher quality. That is certainly not true of this hostel, which does not really provide a hostel life, has cramped quarters, bad food, and (some) rude staff for 2x the cost of hostels in Rome and Florence.

Affordable price hostel with 6 bed rooms doom. Mimimum services but area is clean and quiet. Hostel is closed to the river. There are 2 ways to go up hill (cross the river or go to the back of hostel). There is a small resto to take breakfirst and dinner.
