Small museum featuring Einstein's house for 2 years with history about his personal life and career journey. They even have a movie room that explains the whole journey.

It's a very steep walking up the stairs. When you reach the 1st floor then you have to purchase the ticket. It's all Einstein's information written on the wall regarding himself and his family. There's some of the family clothing, work table, family photos and his living room featured in this museum. We did not spend a lot of time here. Since the building is old, there's no lift to go up and down.

It was a nice experience to visit this place and know more about the personal life of Einstein. It's private run and need to pay 5CHF with swiss travel pass.

Cool place to see the history of Albert Einstein. It can be difficult to move around when there are a lot of people. The signs have many different languages for people, so it is nice that everyone can read and understand. The staff there was very nice.

The apartment is basically only one room when you are allowed to entry. Upstairs above the apartment is a museum. All information about Albert Einstain life is written on the walls.

Great little museum. The bottom/ ground/ 1st floor is a restaurant and cafe that seems unrelated to the museum. The 2nd floor is for staff of the cafe it seems. The 3rd floor is the office of the museum where you buy your tickets and where the host of the museum greets you. You can get a discount of 2 chf off the total fee of 7 chf if you have the half price ticket travel card or the Swiss travel pass. This 3rd floor also is where Einstein and his wife and son lived from 1903-1905. It shows the small living room and small bedroom but the kitchen and bathroom are closed off as I understand the ceiling is too low and not safe for visitors. There are souvenirs for purchase from the 3rd floor customer service area.

The 4th floor is a museum of his work and scientific accomplishments as well as other memorabilia. There is also a 20 minute black and white video that tells about his personal and professional life. Very interesting and informative I thought. I enjoyed watching the entire video. It is in English. There are souvenirs for purchase from the 3rd floor customer service area.

Highly recommend this for history buffs and fans of science/ Einstein.

It is a really small house where Einstein was born.
For my taste it is not really worth a visit since they do not have a lot of items on display.
The house has a lot of information of Einstein’s life that actually you can read online and a video that is in german and in english but other than that it is not that interesting.
The entrance was 7CHF that is almost the same as in euros.
Maybe if you have absolutely nothing else to do in Bern, you can pay a visit, if not do not waste your time.

Visited Einstein Haus after a stroll in Old Town Bern in mid-April 2023. It is a biographical museum in Einstein's apartment in Bern. I learned things that I didn't know about Einstein's family life from my visit. Tickets can be bought onsite with cash or card.
