In Schützenmatt Apartments we felt like at home. If you looking for a place to stay in Basel this is the right choise. Claudia was realy kind and was always available to respond to any requests. Our apartment was cleaned daily and we always had fresh towels and everything we needed. The location is great, very close to the center of Basel. We recommend these apartments and, once again, a big THANK YOU to Claudia and the ladies who take care of appartements. Everything was perfect and see you soon!

I stayed here for my first 3 months returning to Switzerland. The spot is central but without the noise and traffic. It has great connections with Tram and Bus and is only around 10 minutes away from Basel SBB . The staff is very friendly and happy to explain the intricacies of swiss daily life to foreigners.
There was a small issue with internet connectivity in one of the rooms on the edge of each floor where the modem doesn't each easily. It basically caused some small lag spikes that would only be noticeable when streaming/video chatting. I was kindly offered an extra modem to circumvent the aforementioned issue. The room is cleaned professionally once a week if requested and the kitchen contains all kinds of utensils for cooking. (microwave and stove but no oven)
Overall I definitely recommend this place for long stays.

A little late but better than never.

We stayed here in September 2017 and May 2018.

Very pleasant, central and modern living in a 1 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor in the courtyard, without noise or other disturbing factors.

Small separate kitchen and a separate bathroom.

In addition, a very helpful management, which was regularly on site and took care of everything.

Very much recommended to people who would like to stay modern, quiet and near the city center!

I stayed at the Schützenmatt Apartments for 1 month and would recommend anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Basel for a short or long time to consider staying here.
The team (special mention to Claudia) was fantasic and was always available and quick to respond to any queries or requests that I had. As this was the first place I stayed in Switzerland after moving here from overseas, it felt like a home away from home.
My apartment was cleaned daily and I always had fresh towels and supplies provided which was fantastic.
The location of the apartments is fantastic, with easy connections to the center of Basel (10 minute walk),
Basel SBB (10 minutes on the tram) and the EuroAirport (25 minutes by bus).
I would highly recommend these apartments and again, a huge thank you to Claudia and the team for everything.

Let me start my review stating that I stayed here for more than 3.5 years. Hence, I feel that my review will be helpful to everyone.
I would say one of the best and most comfortable apartments in Basel. I have friends staying in other apartments, but even they have the opinion that Schutzenmatt Apartment is one of the best in terms of the facilities, location and connectivity with public transports.
I would put my review in 2 parts Positive and Not so Positive:

Positive:
1. Best part is daily housekeeping, you don’t need to worry at all. Reliable and professional staff in the apartment is the best at their work
2. Spacious and comfortable apartment for 2 adults
3. WiFi and Cable TV enabled. We also have a separate telephone line in the apartment (additional paid)
4. Laundry and Drying services in the basement
5. Helpful and always smiling apartment staff. The apartment host Claudia is the most helpful person. She will guide you with all help and guidance that you need if you are new in Basel.
6. Direct public transport connection to all important locations. Tram 3 to the French side, Tram 8 to German side, Tram 1 & 8 to the main station, Tram 6 to the exhibition square and German side along with German train station, Bus 50 to the airport. All these tram/bus stops are less than 5-minute walking from the apartment.
7. Huge Schutzenmatt Park less than 5 minute of walking, Basel Zoo less than 10 minutes of walk, Rhine river front 10 minutes’ walk, City center and Pubs/Bars in less than 10 minutes of walk.
8. Grocery store less than 100 meters, University and Hospital less than 10 minutes of walking.

Not so Positive:
Although the apartment being centrally located with good facilities, I do not see much points which are not so good. However, these points can be easily ignored as well

1. Elevator is a bit small. Only for 2 person or 1 with luggage.
2. My apartment was facing the street and we could sometimes hear ambulance and fire engine siren, as they are located quite close.

I would certainly recommend everyone to stay here.

Schützenmatt Apartments is an excellence choice for staying in Basel. It is equipped with everything you need and the location is super! Near supermarkets, near the amazing Schützenmattpark and very well served with tram lines. Basel central railway station SBB is also close. The staff is amazing and always available for support. I definitely recommend!

I've been working in Basel for the last 4 months and was lucky enough to have the Schützenmatt Apartments as my home during this time.
The apartments are everything you would need in Basel. Clean, comfortable, and the location is excellent. The best part was Claudia's organisation with all of this. She was flexible when it came to arrival/departure and she was extremely helpful throughout my stay. All in all a very pleasant time in Basel and would definitely stay again if I return (which I hope to do so soon!)

I stayed at Schutzenmatt Apartments for one month and I can sincerely recommend it to anyone. Location was perfect for me and judging how close it is to SBB Bahnhof and City center I believe it would suit anybody. Room was spacious, full of light and cleaning was immaculate. Staff was very helpful especially the owner. Very much recommended :)
