Excellent food, service and ambience. We had 6 course fixed menu on Saturday night. I loved the element of surprise as the menu was fixed and every course was a surprise. All the courses were delicious and well balanced in flavour. I particularly liked truffle pasta and veal steak course. The wine recommendation was also very nice. Service was very attentive and pleasant. The price is very attractive for such a large and various meal. We loved it! Highly recommended!

A lovely restaurant! We went on a Friday evening and had the set mystery menu. The options for vegetarians were lovely and the meat-eaters were very happy too. The staff were very nice and accommodating, particularly with my allergy. We could also have our big with us. If we are ever back in Basel we will be back.

I love the ambience and the service was amazing. The servers were Uber friendly. We didn’t speak German but they were extremely nice and patient with us and helped us translate the menu. The menu was straightforward and the food was lovely! If I lived in Basel, I would definitely come again!

We had a work event at Viertelkreis and rented it out just for us. Hence, we had a set vegetarian and non-vegetarian menu.

Food: We started with a mushroom arachino accompanied with a savoury light mushroom sauce and fresh herbs. A wonderful surprisingly light start to our meal. It was followed by a filet of salmon perfectly cooked and surrounded by thinly sliced fennel bedded on a sweet potato mousse. As a main we were served a mouthwatering juicy lamb fillet and a stacked potato and beetroot ratatouille. This was followed by a variety of savoury cheeses and chocolate mousse as well as tiramisu in a small pot as dessert. We experienced a fresh, tasty and well balanced meal.

Staff: Amazing and efficient. Lovely and attentive at all times. Tanja made me a lovely variation of a Lady Old Fashioned which I enjoyed at lot. The service was flexible and very accommodating.

Overall: Good food, good wine, very nice staff, good location.

We (an American and English couple) came with our limited German language skills and had a wonderful experience. The service team really made us feel welcomed and were super helpful with recommendations that included things not on the menu. We started with the house apero and the lovely mixed salmon starter. We had specifically come to try the cordon bleu (that did not disappoint) and also had the local sausage with sauerkraut ravioli which was a fresh and interesting twist on local cuisine. The prices were on point for Switzerland and quality food. All the little details like bread, water, and end of dinner drinks just added to the entire experience. We will be coming back!

This place was a culinary experience. My friends and I visited on a Friday night where we simply ate what the chef rolled out and to say that each course was delightful, is an understatement. The knockout dish for me was the truffle ravioli, which was creamy and flavorful.

Stöff was a gracious host who's passion and knowledge of food coupled with his charisma, ensured that this would be a memorable foodie experience for all of us. Tanja and the rest of the staff were also awesome and I recommend that anyone who visits Basel, adds this to their list of places to visit while in town.
