Tiny and Spartan restaurant with a very welcoming atmosphere, excellent food at relatively moderate prices.

Also they give you unlimited tap water for 2 CHF which, for Basel standards, is amazing and a sure sign of civilization and lack of „we must squeeze our customer like a lemon“.

So five stars.

A very nice restaurant by the Rhine. All was well, had a nice meal out of a wide range of options. Outdoor seating is available. Very nice service too. Highly recommended!

If there were 6/5 stars available, I'd have given it! Pınar is just wonderful, this is coming from a Turk who have tried various Turkish restaurants in Europe and felt disappointed and homesick afterwards.
You'll be tasting authentic, delicious Turkish food in Pınar combining various regions of Turkey. They even serve Turkish wine which is rare outside of Turkey: well thought out! The founders and the staff are welcoming and lovely. The portions are generous and fulfilling, see the take away lahmacun-dürüm in the photos below which I've become a fan of ^^° Oh, by the way, if you haven't before, just give Turkish tea a try when you're there.

It is the best turkish restaurant in Basel so far, food is just delicious and staff very friendly. Must go place definitely!!

Not satisfied by the quality of the food and price of the meals.The meat was very dry, vegetables were supposed to be baked from the oven but they were only boiled and not really diverse as it was written in the menu. Basically I received a dish of cut donner kebab and boiled carrots for 25 chf.

What a tasty food! I ate here with my family, and we all enjoyed our meals. The portions were fine in size. The female waiter was friendly. This is a great place to eat out.
