The Royal Palace is a spectacular combination of amazing Customer Service and Quality food.
The quality of the food was really great and staffs are kind and explained the menu in a good way. They suggested the Mixed Grill and we tried it and liked it very much.

The food was delicious!!! I felt like I'm in a restaurant that it based in India. The food quality is really high so there is no discussion about the price.. They have a indian "Tandoor" and that's amazing!!!
My kids tried first time indian food in Switzerland and literally now they're a food lover of ROYAL PALACE BASEL!
They make the cheese which is called paneer by themselve, I was so impressed because in other restaurants we can taste that the paneer is like a gum. Mango lassi was my favorite!!! The whole team is so friendly and respectful. I would suggest you all to visit the restaurant Royal Palace Basel!!!

We have been enjoying their food since I was pregnant of my daughter, who’s now 14. They are a kind loving family and the food is simply delicious and you always get the same quality. Highly recommend.

Best recommended Indian restaurant in Basel. The food was of great quality and had immense taste. The service was at its best. The ambience of the restaurant provides a perfect place to dine in.

My first Indian restaurant experience. I was positively surprised. Tasty food and freshly prepared sauces with pappadam. The lamb korma was great too. I took my favourite peshwari naan, which was not quite to my taste. The mango lassi was delicious too. Friendly service and I can definitely recommend it.

Great authentic Indian food. The prices are typical of Switzerland and the portion adequate. Service is good and the host is friendly. Location is also central.

I really did not have a good experience. We had to wait 1 hour for our food and there were only two other tables. We did see a lot of home deliveries coming in and out. The staff disappears after your order is taken and does not ask for anything. There was one guy working with a mask on but with the nose out. Then the whole “safety” is a bit useless?
Since our server did not talk to us i had to walk over to them and say that my food was to spicy (ordered not spicy). The new one i got tasted just like they added a whole load of cream. The whole spinach taste was gone. Then when we complained about the whole experience the owner came (also because they put 2 naan on the bill, we just ordered one). He started a whole discussion about that we should have seen that there were two portions (is he serious?). Then i said well the food was also not good and we waited an hour. He explained that its normal to wait long for butter chicken (ordered by my boyfriend) and that he was full the day before and even though people wait long they enjoy it (not my problem or my life). Whole story about guest is king (he made me feel super uncomfortable). I asked 5 times to just leave it (he kept talking about himself). In total, very expensive, long waiting, not good experience. Please in these corona times treat your guest like you say “as kings”. Going to a restaurant should be a nice and happy and special experience!
