We did a major 5-month house renovation project, and Gipsercompany provided the entire gips and paint job and also contracted the tiler for the bathrooms. The owner initially appeared engaged and professional but it declined fast half-way into the project: no quality supervision of the work done; everything was done poorly the first time, for us to try to get hold of the owner and complain to send his workers back to fix things a second or third time. His painters could not deliver on the most basic principles such as getting a clean line between surfaces (see pictures), or not doing a correction job with a differently colored acryl than the main color. The tiling work was poorly and incompletely executed in two bathrooms by the contractor who never came back to fix his work. Gipsercompany added their own DIY cheap fixes which made the initial problem look even worse, and the response from the owner was that it was us who agreed to their poor fixes! The corrective work continued for 5 months after we had moved into the house, everytime turning our home into a construction site and at great inconvenience to our family and work schedule. There was no coordination with the workers on the work to be done, planned workdays were postponed or cancelled even without notice (no show), the owner would show up to meetings hours later than agreed interrupting our work day and in the end they left a rather long list of pending corrective items, agreed upon in writing in their protocol, not done. The cost to get their unfinished work done by another vendor will be several thousands for us. The lack of professionalism both in terms of quality and customer service was very disappointing. Also to point out that the total end invoice was significantly higher than the initial quote and therefore not cheaper than the competition. We chose Gipsercompany based on their reviews so we felt compelled to share our negative experience with them here.
