An incredible historical site to visit that is not too far away from Basel by bus. If you enjoy Roman history, you would highly appreciate this place. All the outdoor stuff including the underground sewer tunnel are free to visit. A lot of the boards are written in English too.

ROMAN HOUSE. If you like Roman civilization this is a place ti visit. The main attraction for me is the reconstruction of a roman house (8 CHF 2023). There’s a lot to see such as theater, amphitheater, museum with roman house and further away you have a animal park and a sewer and much more. Parking is not free.

The location is great, there is a lot to discover and do. You can even bake bread and make some perfume, like in the good old days. It is a good walk if you want to see everything, very nicely restored and looked after. Nice and friendly service ????

Nice Roman amphitheater. Mostly rebuilt with excellent information. Well worth a 30 minute stop

Large Roman settlement with advanced architecture. See the largest hoard of silver from antiquity ever found. Great for school trips. Amazing history.

Great small museum. We liked it a lot. Good intro into ancient Roman living for those who haven't traveled to Pompey yet.
